We the undersigned, do hereby formally petition The Nominating Committee of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to nominate the rock band, The Runaways, for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Since their first self titled debut album release in 1976 the members of The Runaways: Cherie Currie, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Sandy West, Jackie Fox, Vicki Blue, Michael Steele, Laurie McAllister, and Peggy Foster have continually been a major influence in Rock & Roll. From a just a few of their many hard driving hits like,(Cherry Bomb, School Days, California Paradise) the teenage all girl band's musical influence has resonated throughout the industry, entertaining and inspiring musicians and fans of all ages worldwide. We formally request that The Runaways be inducted under the performers category so they may claim their rightful place in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

I have been spreading the newz about the Runaways for years. I agree that it should bee time to get them entered in to the Hall, but It has turned out to be politics, I hope that this petetion causes the members to take another look at these talented ladies and give to them what the rightly deserve!
